The Pakistani drama industry always cheers up around, and viewers are delightful from it, generally. Storyline, concept, dialogues, acting, genre, OSTs, and artists, all are equally important to create the buzz and to attract the viewers. Perhaps, a few of them score up to the hype and get successful enough to win our hearts.
Here are a few dramas, which were being a real ‘good watch’ in 2019
This year kicked off with splendid drama serial ‘Cheekh’ that hooked us all in its storyline. That did not get cliche around romance and love. Saba Qamar, Bilal Abbas, Ijaz Aslam, Ushna Shah, Azakeh Daniel, Emmad Irfani, Noor-ul-Hassan, each of them did justice with their roles. It was surely an extraordinary drama with a dexterous cast.
One of the most enjoyed ‘love-triangle’ that built up a serene love story side by side, drama series ‘Do Bol’ has surely been one of our favorite programs, we watched this year. Affan Waheed, Hira Salman, and Haroon Shahid gave the best of their talent with amazing acting, on-point expressions, and decent dialogue delivery. Hats off to Nabeel Shaukat and Aima Baig to invest the charm in the OST.
Another super hit drama of the year, Khaas aired at the beginning of 2019. Sanam Baloch made an intensive comeback with a swaying act as ‘Saba’. Backed up by a blazing performance by Ali Rehman that made us believing him a narcissist; more than ‘Ammar’, ‘Fakhir’s’ loving yet supportive character played by Haroon Shahid, Hira Tareen’s assertive role ‘Salma’, and the whole drama with its story just made us saying wow…
The story revolves around a girl who has to sacrifice the glory of her life and had to bring up her baby siblings after the misfortune has happened to her parents. Nadia Khan once again proved that her acting skills are impressive to the audience.’ Drama’s story beautifully showcases the human frailty emotions and expectations, humans build from life and the people around them.
Surkh Chandni proves to be one of the decent drama series of the year. The story itself was legitimate that covers an important social issue, ‘Acid Attack.’ The best thing we feel, about the drama, is it isn’t typical and limited just till victimization. It encompassed the support towards the victim, the mental and emotional state of the victim, and survival along with traditional ‘evil deserves the bad’ end. Sohai Ali Abro and Osman Khalid Butt invested their skills on a worthwhile script, whereas Huma Nawab maintains her legacy of being a strong and positive lady.
These were some exciting drama series that 2019 gave us. We surely had a good time watching them. But, what did make them a healthy content in the industry is appropriate scripting, strong concept, and of course proficient acting by artists. Which serial has been your favorite this year?
